Biography
American conductor, Shaan Milharcic, is an emerging artist dedicated to clarity and musical expression on the podium. A native of Indiana, he founded the Brownsburg Community Orchestra at the age of fifteen, launching his conducting career. Milharcic has since served as guest conductor for the Ball State Symphony Orchestra and Campus Orchestra, the Brownsburg Symphony Orchestra, and the Wiley Community Orchestra. More recently, he has served as Associate Conductor for the East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra and appeared as guest conductor with the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Chorus. Milharcic has also performed with ensembles in Canada and Germany, including the Berlin Sinfonietta, the McGill Beethoven Orchestra, and other orchestral and chamber ensembles.
Milharcic is currently pursuing a master’s degree in orchestral conducting with Alexis Hauser at McGill University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in violin performance at Ball State University with Dr. Yu-Fang Chen and studied conducting with Gregory Robbins. His career, which has spanned chamber ensembles, orchestras, and community groups, reflects a dedication to both musical excellence and education.
