American conductor, Shaan Milharcic, is an emerging artist dedicated to clarity and musical expression on the podium. A native of Indiana, he founded the Brownsburg Community Orchestra at the age of 15, launching his conducting career. Since then, Milharcic has gone on to conduct the Ball State Symphony Orchestra, Ball State Campus Orchestra, and the Wiley Community Orchestra. More recently, he served as the Associate Conductor of the East Central Indiana Chamber Orchestra. Milharcic currently serves as a guest conductor for the Hendricks Symphony Orchestra and Chorus, and actively works with the McGill Beethoven Orchestra in addition to other orchestral and chamber ensembles. 

 

Milharcic is currently pursuing a master’s degree in orchestral conducting with Alexis Hauser at McGill University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in violin performance at Ball State University with Dr. Yu-Fang Chen and studied conducting with Gregory Robbins. His career, which has spanned chamber ensembles, orchestras, and community groups, reflects a dedication to both musical excellence and education.
